Order and Payments. Request a Boat Portrait by completing the Boat Portrait Commission Request Form and email to ([email protected]). Attach the completed form and photos of your boat to the email. You'll receive the first of 3 invoices for equal payments from the Artist upon receipt of your request form.
Payment shall be made in three (3) equal installments as follows:
9x12 Price $300.00
Payments: $100.00 prior to start of painting, $100.00 at time of receiving photo of your painting in progress - about half way painted, final payment of $100.00 when painting is completed and prior to shipping.
11x14 Price $400.00
Payments: $133.33 prior to start of painting $133.33 at time of receiving photo of your painting in progress - about half way painted, final payment of $100.00 when painting is completed and prior to shipping.
16x20 Price $600.00
Payments: $200.00 prior to start of painting $200.00 at time of receiving photo of your painting in progress - about half way painted, inal payment of $200.00 when painting is completed and prior to shipping.
First two payments are non-refundable. Buyer will receive a photograph of the painting progress approximately in the middle of being painted to show progress, and a photograph of the finished painting prior to last payment and prior to shipping the painting.
To commission a Portrait of your boat, complete the Boat Portrait Commission Request Form.
If you prefer a different size that will fit a particular space, etc., send an email to [email protected] to get an estimate for creating a Boat Portrait at the desired size.
To begin the commission, the Buyer pays a non-refundable installment via Paypal, credit card (through PayPal), or send a personal check* payable to Ronald Garnier, 7348 Woodlawn Colonial Lane, St. Louis, MO 63119. Installment payments are non-refundable. Cashier checks, money orders or electronic checks are not accepted. If paid by personal check, you will receive confirmation of receipt after the check clears the bank. (Checks can take up to a week or more to clear).
* If paying by personal check, make a note of the personal check when completing the Boat Portrait Commission Request Form. It can take up to 5-10 days to clear at the bank delaying the start of painting.
Timeframe
The creation of an original, high quality fine art oil painting takes considerable time, just like everything of quality and value. Oil paintings are created in layers and may require drying time in between painting sessions. Time to complete a painting also depends on the size of the commissioned artwork as well as the details in the boat - the larger the canvas, the more details of the boat and environment can be included. Buyer's request for changes can delay the delivery time and add cost to the price of the painting. One reasonable change request is included in the price of the painting and will be made at the sole discretion of the artist.
As a general time estimate, the timeline for painting delivery is 3 to 6 weeks.
Shipping/Delivery
Boat Portrait commissions include normal shipping costs. Shipment is normally FedEx Ground or UPS Ground. Full value in-transit insurance to the destination is provided by the artist at no cost to the Buyer. Shipment tracking numbers are provided by email, and a signature evidencing delivery receipt is required at destination. Faster delivery within the US will be arranged by the Artist at Buyer's written request and shipped with full value insurance at Buyer's expense. International and non-contiguous state shipping and insurance will be arranged, insured and paid by the Buyer.
Ready to Hang Boat Portrait Painting Options
One of the following ready-made frame can be purchased with your painting so when the completed painting arrives it will be ready to hang on your wall. Price of the frame with hardware to be hung is $50.00 plus sales tax. If this ready-made frame is not available when the painting is completed, the Artist will select another frame of similar value to replace it.
